Samantha Philyaw’s voiceover brings a versatile and irresistible spunk to every read. Her bright, youthful, quirky, and relatable sound can skillfully capture the tone you’re seeking, be it warm, snarky or mysterious. As a southerner from Alabama, she can speak authentically in a southern accent even though her natural accent is neutral American. And as an experienced singer and lifelong Disney lover, she’s known for her self-taught and highly entertaining character voices.

Samantha doesn’t half-ass anything. She’s adaptable, easily directed, and a natural problem solver. Her creative thinking skills and can-do attitude drive all her endeavors, especially voiceover. Her clients are of the utmost importance to her, so she puts her all into every project – big or small.

Sam’s voiceover ranges from a bright and conversational commercial to magical, whimsical storytelling, to engaging e-learning. She’s collaborated with big-name brands including Goodwill Industries, Red Hat, Braskem, Catalent, Physicians Mutual, Rezzil Player 22 (Oculus), Orphan Myth, Stampin’ Up!, Xylem, Cavallo, Colorado Dept. of Public Health, Rodan + Fields, and more. She records and produces from her custom-built home studio, complete with multi-colored lights. Using a CAD GXL2200 condenser microphone, a Focusrite Scarlett Solo audio interface, a reliable laptop, and high-quality recording software, you can be sure her audio is premium quality. She even creates her own content with her team at Iridescent Acorn Productions – renamed from Rainbow & Thunder Studios! 

Sam is part of the LGBTQ+ community and has a college degree in hospitality and culinary management, which she earned on nearly a full-ride scholarship for competitive rifle. She has also competed in and coached archery. Sam has the discipline of a life-long athlete, the mindset of a competitor, the patience of a customer service representative. When not in her studio, you can find her watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy for the 100th time, crocheting, cooking, hiking, and reading.
